Chamarajanagar, Jun 29: In an incident reported from Honnegowdana Hundi in Gundlupet taluk in the district on Sunday, June 28, a man murdered his son due to property dispute.

In this incident, Mallikarjunappa (46), was killed by his father, Mahadevappa. Mahadevappa later surrendered to the police. His second son Mantrappa, and daughter Indramma, along with grandson Subhash have gone missing. These three allegedly extended support to Mahadevappa in this ghastly act.

Mallikarjunappa was not given any share in the family property. On this issue, a longstanding feud was on between the father-son duo. On Sunday, Mallikarjunappa had come to the field to cut down a tree. At that time, Mahadevappa and his children allegedly attacked Mallikarjunappa with an axe at which Malllikarjunappa died on the spot.

A case in this respect was registered in Gundlupet police station.
