Udupi, Feb 17: Relating to the case in which two policemen had been caught red-handed while accepting bribe from a person by the Lokayukta police, the district superintendent of police has suspended them.
Police constables, Raghavendra Upoor and Mohan Kotwal, who were suspended, succeeded in securing bail and getting released from judicial custody. After being caught, they had been admitted into the district hospital for treatment of ailments. The Lokayukta police had allegedly caught the two constables while accepting Rs 3,000 from a person named Akram, in relation to an obscene CD.
