Bengaluru, Jun 28: The state government has issued fresh guidelines for movement of persons from other states to Karnataka amid the rising cases of coronavirus.
The revised standard operating procedure (SOP) issued by the government states that persons arriving from Maharashtra shall be placed in 7-day institutional quarantine followed by 7-day home quarantine.
Also, persons coming from states other than Maharashtra shall be placed in 14-day home quarantine.

"The quarantine surveillance has further been augmented through application of technology and increase in number of surveillance team(s)," the order states.
The SOP for persons coming from other states to Karnataka had been issued earlier on June 3, and revised subsequently on June 15. Other than the above stated quarantine norms, the rest of the conditions for returnees remain the same as before.
