Bengaluru, Jun 25: An ambitious action plan with an estimated outlay of Rs 10.31 crore for the development of Sahyadri Heritage Development Authority headed by chief minister, B S Yediyurappa was approved at a meeting in Bengaluru on Thursday.
The Sahyadri Development Authority also gave its approval for the constitution of several sub-committees and executive committees to implement the activities.
The Sahyadri Heritage Development Authority is aimed at protecting the cultural and heritage of the malnad districts of Shivamogga, Uttara Kannada and Chikkamagaluru.
Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister, K S Eshwarappa and Tourism Development, Kannada and Culture Minister, C T Ravi and other members and senior officials were present at the meeting.
