Mangaluru: 5 postgraduate KMC doctors tested coronavirus positive, undergoing treatment

Mangaluru, Jun 25: 5 Postgraduate doctors of Kasturba Medical College who were deputed at Government Lady Goschen Hospital and District Wenlock Hospital were tested positive for coronavirus.

All of them are asymptomatic and are being treated at the designated COVID hospital in Mangaluru. Their health condition is stable.

Contact tracing was done and all their contacts are in quarantine as per the government guidelines.

The areas where they worked have also been sanitized.

    Since the doctors are asymptomatic, chances of spreading to close contacts are also rare.

    Community spread has started in kudla.. now expect daily 100 cases in mangalore.. tahts why we see many ILI and SARI cases .. contact tracing will be difficult..
