Bangalore, Feb 15: The Lioness Council held its annual conference with the theme ‘Nurture Nature’ at United Theological College, Millers Road here on Saturday, February 13.
The programme commenced by an invocation dance following which the Indian National flag was brought to the dais by Lns Jessie Rodrigues while the song Vande Mataram was sung.
Banner presentation by all the clubs added glamour to the event as the service done by each club was being projected with power point presentation. All the ladies in the hall were in green attire reflecting the theme of the day.
District chairperson Ln Naveen presided over the function and welcomed the gathering. Lns Asma and Lns Sowbhagya compered the programme.
District governor of Dist 324 D6 Ln K L Subramanyam, was the chief guest. Ln S NagrajRao, first VDG released the council bulletin, Ln S Ramachandran, second VDG inaugurated the service activities which were focused on empowerment of women. C S Vedant IFS, PCCF, Karnataka forest department (nurture - nature) delivered the keynote address. Dr M I M Nehruzii, PhD chairman, Gems B School, Royal college, Bangalore Palace (Time Management) was the guest speaker.
Associate chairperson Kuhu, council secretary Malini and treasurer Nirmala were involved in arranging the conference. The programme concluded with a fellowship meal.
