Udupi, Jun 24: “Several degrees are postponed due to lockdowns. Students in final academic years are anxious about their future. We hear students committing suicide due to the effects of pandemic,” said district youth Congress president Vishwas V Ameen.
“Being district youth Congress president, I say that the problems are temporary. Young people should not be disappointed and lose their confidence. If they develop the attitude of fighting against the effects of COVID-19, the future will be theirs.
“As young people go to other cities in search of jobs, the older parents at home are deprived of love. Therefore, IT and BT companies should open their offices in the district. Large industries should be started here so that youth find openings here itself.
“Our MLAs, MPs, district in-charge minister should look into it and work toward it. Udupi district youth Congress has decided to begin a Twitter campaign in this connection. I request my young friends to join the campaign and act on unemployment. I assure that the youth Congress is always prepared to withstand the current issues and come out of them.”
