Mangaluru, Jun 24: Fly Dubai flight FZ 4617, sponsored by M Friends Charitable Trust and My Community Foundation, carrying 166 passengers from Dubai landed at Mangaluru International airport at 7.20 pm on Tuesday, June 23.
Originally 187 passengers were scheduled to fly by this flight. However, due to technical issues 21 passengers were left behind and 166 passengers made it to the city. The passengers included 128 men and 38 women.
The flight had left Dubai airport terminal 2 at 2 pm on Tuesday. Passengers on the flight included pregnant women, elderly people, sick and people who had lost their jobs in Dubai.
The passengers were accorded a warm departure in Dubai by Ashraf Abbas, chief of My Community Foundation in Dubai and members of M Friends NRI Hanif Puttur and Nawaz Kanathadka.
Passengers on the flight were accorded a warm welcome in Mangaluru international airport by Yathish Ullal, nodal officer of international passengers. Rashid Vittal, founder of M Friends, joint secretary Hanif Kuddupadavu, members Tufail Ahmed, Mohammed Topco, Ashique Kukkaje, Souhan S K, Ashfaque Vilayat, Imtiyaz I Frame and Siraj Madaka.
