Bengaluru, Jun 24: Patients who are under treatment for coronavirus positive can be released within 10 days, if they do not show any symptoms of Covid-19, without any further test as per the new order issued by the state government.
According to the new guidelines, the patient should not exhibit any symptoms of Covid-19 infection three days prior to their release from the hospital.
According to earlier orders, coronavirus patients had to undergo mandatory tests twice before being released from the hospital. However, as per the new guidelines, asymptomatic patients, who have tested positive as per report, can be released after 10 days if they do not exhibit any further symptoms of Covid-19 disease.

The rule does not apply for coronavirus infected patients, who are known to have HIV or undergone transplants. Such patients, who are under treatment for Covid-19, will be released only after their report turns negative.
The order also says that if the coronavirus patient continues to present symptoms for 14 days, then such person can be released only after he or she gets completely cured.
