Udupi, Jun 24: Necessary preparations are completed in Kundapur and Byndoor for SSLC examinations that begin on June 25.
2457 students will write the examinations in Kundapur zone in eight examination centers. Two special rooms are arranged. Students from the containment zone and home quarantine will be writing in one of them. Students with coronavirus symptoms will be writing in the other room.
Students are asked to reach at 8.30 am. The examinations will be held from 10.30 am to 1.45 pm. They are asked to bring snacks while coming. All the rooms are sanitized. The health of staff is examined. Students should compulsorily wear masks and maintain social distance. Thermal scanning and sanitizers are arranged at entry. Buses are arranged and the parents are informed about it.

2041 students will be writing the examinations in eight centers in Byndoor. Students are already contacted and two masks each are distributed among them along with hall tickets. The centers are sanitized. Scouts and guides volunteers are deployed to assist the health department staff. One teacher from each high school is assigned the task of reaching students to the centers in the initiative of the block nodal officer, B R P Karunaker Shetty. Special buses are arranged to bring students from places where there are no bus services. A bus each besides three private buses are arranged for English medium schools Sandeepan, Don Bosco, Vijaya School, Shubhada, Sacred Heart, Mookambika Public School, Tauheed and Gregory School. A nodal officer from each school will ensure the attendance of the students. Two people for each center and a person on each route will assist in emergency transport of students. A teacher’s squad will make sure that students will not be deprived of examination for want of transport. Social distance will be maintained mandatorily.
Teachers deployed in the centers are trained under the leadership of the center heads and all are prepared for the examinations, said Byndoor zone educational officer in the press release.

13,526 students will write the examination in the entire district in 51 examination centers. 586 among them are from other districts. 12,520 are regular students. 485 are repeaters. 376 are privately writing the examinations. 145 among them are repeaters.
