Mangaluru, Jun 23: SSLC examination will be conducted from June 25 to July 4 across 95 examination centres in Dakshina Kannada district. Sindhu B Rupesh, the deputy commissioner and district magistrate has issued prohibitory orders under section 144 of criminal procedure code 1973 up to a radius of 200 meters from the examination centres so that the examinations will be held smoothly and in a transparent manner without unpleasant incidents or illegal activities.
Malpractices such as copying, distributing answers written on pieces of paper, distributing or transporting items during the examination is banned completely. Carrying explosive substances or deadly weapons, making signs to convey information relating to the examinations in any means is banned.
Xerox shops within a radius of 200 meters will stop functioning one hour before and during the examination. The orders do not apply to the programmes or meetings being conducted by the government or on government orders, stated a press release by the deputy commissioner.
