Bengaluru, Jun 23: Avala Hejje, an organization of Kannada speaking women has scheduled a conference under the title ‘Bikkattinalli Ditta Hejje’ (a bold step during crisis) in November this year. The conference is about several challenges and successes under women’s leadership. The organizers have invited applications for registrations from representatives, groups and associations from various districts in the state.

The intention of the conference is to recollect the success of several women who remained alert to the happenings in their surroundings, state and nation and acted in the nick of time during the unexpected devastation due to the pandemic and the recovery.

Avala Hejje has been celebrating ‘Kannadathi Utsava’ during Karnataka Rajyotsava every year since 2017 with the intention of unveiling women’s views through the forum of arts, literature and culture.

Artworks based on women were on display at the festival in 2017. A short film prepared by women was screened at several places in the state in 2018. An inter-college drama competition on the dramas written and directed by women was held in 2019.

"Interested representatives, groups and associations can register their names before August 15 through Avala Hejje website http://avalahejje.in/kn/kannadati-utsava-kn.html and they can send in the article written by them," said Avala Hejje founder, Shantala Damle.

Further details can be obtained on telephone no: 9113659968, Renukambike, programme director, Avala Hejje, Bengaluru.
