Bengaluru: Scared of corona infection, constable hangs self inside bus

Bengaluru, Jun 23: Scared at having been diagnosed with coronavirus infection, a police constable committed suicide by hanging himself inside a bus.
 
The incident happened at C V Raman Nagar in the city on Monday, June 22.
 
Of late, there has been an alarming increase in the number of policemen getting affected by this virus. The department has therefore decided to conduct random tests. The Karnataka State Reserve Police head constable aged 50 had received a corona positive report on Monday evening.
 
 
The policeman was informed about this result and he was told that he would be shifted to C V Raman Hospital on Tuesday. But the constable, who was overtaken by the fear about coronavirus, hanged himself inside a bus.
 
City (East) division deputy commissioner of police Sharanappa, visited the spot and scrutinized the scene. A case was registered in this connection.
