Udupi: St Cecily’s School to Celebrate Golden Jubilee on Feb 16

Udupi, Feb 14: The golden jubilee celebrations of St Cecily’s English Higher Primary School, here will be held on Tuesday February 16 evening at the School grounds.
Sr M Olivia AC, provincial superior of the Apostolic Carmel, Karnataka province, will preside over the programme, which is scheduled to start at 5.00 pm that day.
Mangalore Bishop, Aloysius Paul D’Souza,, state home and district in-charge minister, Dr V S Acharya, Rajya Sabha member, Oscar Fernandes, former MP, Manorama Madwaraj, and episcopal vicar, Fr Baptist Menezes, will be the chief guests.
MLA Raghupati Bhat, deputy commissioner, Hemalatha P, zilla panchayat president, Gladys D’Almeida, municipal president, Dinakar Shetty, former MP, Vinay Kumar Sorake, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district Fisheries Association president Yashpal Suvarna, deputy director of public instruction, Dr B V Mahidas, block education officer, D Manjunathiah, Mumbai-based ‘Mallya Films’ producer and St Cecily’s School alumnus Gopi Mallya, and entrepreneur from Malpe, Pramod Madwaraj, will be the guests of honour.
The first phase of the Golden Jubilee Memorial Building will be inaugurated on this occasion.
A thanksgiving Holy Mass will be offered by the episcopal vicar, Fr Baptist Menezes, at the school auditorium, here at 11.30 am on Tuesday.
