Bengaluru, Jun 20: The city crime branch (CCB) police have arrested a person who allegedly used to cheat others by using technology when playing cards. The arrested person has been identified as Imran, resident of B K Nagar in Yeshwantpur.
Imran operated a gambling den at his home in B K Nagar, it is said. It has transpired that he used to apply certain electronic devices to the playing cards and cheat others. Based on reliable information, the CCB police raided Imran's house and checked the things. They found that electronic devices like hidden cameras, micro-cameras, and scanners were fitted into the playing cards.
The police also found that in addition to playing cards, Imran had also fitted hidden cameras to six Rs 500 denomination currency notes. He reportedly offered the cards fitted with micro-cameras and scanners for sale. Through the micro-cameras and scanners, he found out who held the Ace of spades, and with the help of head speaker, he manipulated the card game to his advantage, reports said.
Reportedly Imran had got several such playing cards manufactured and had offered to sell them. During the raid, the police confiscated electronic devices worth four lac rupees including playing cards and Rs 500 noted fitted with electronic devices and mobile phones.
Yeshwantpur police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
