Bantwal: Woman who suffered burn injuries while cooking dies in hospital

Bantwal, Jun 20: A woman, who suffered burn injuries when the nighty worn by her while cooking caught fire, died at a private hospital in Mangaluru on Friday June 19 without responding to treatment.

Netharamane, Kadeshwalya resident Harinakshi (35) was cooking at home on June 2 using firewood as cooking gas was over. Meanwhile, the dress which she was wearing caught fire. She suffered burn injuries. She was treated for burns at a hospital and had returned home.

However, her injuries turned severe on June 17 and she had to be admitted to the hospital again. She died on Friday without responding to treatment.

A case is registered at Bantwal rural police station in this connection.
