Bangalore:Feb 13 (DHNS): State Youth Congress President Krishna Byre Gowda on Friday said one person associated with the Youth Congress, was said to be involved in blackening Sri Ram Sene chief Pramod Mutalik’s face and an appropriate action will be taken against him after conducting an inquiry.
He, however, said the Youth Congress has no role in the incident.
“Some youth who were agitated over Mutalik’s statements, have done it. The media has unnecessarily blown the issue out of proportion,” he stated.
However, KPCC President R V Deshpande denied the party has any role in the incident, which has triggered violence in some parts of the State.
Addressing reporters in Bangalore, he condemned the incident saying that nobody has any right to take law into hands.
“However, I will write to the Youth Congress chief to examine whether any Congress worker is involved and take appropriate action,” he stated.
Probe
Deshpande alleged that the Higher Education Department is blackmailing 35 unauthorised private institutions by threatening to close them down.
“The Ministry is threatening these institutions and looting them. Malatesh Bhat, one of the office staff the Higher Education Minister, is directly involved in it. CM Yeddyurappa should order an inquiry into it,” he demanded.
