Mangaluru, Jun 19: There is suspicion that a man would have jumped into River Netravati from the Ullal bridge on national highway 66 near Jappinamogaru in the city on Friday June 18 late afternoon.

Surendra (45) from Talapady went missing at the same time. He was working as a security guard for a private hospital in the city. It is gathered that his wife too works as security guard for a hospital here. As his mobile phone was found to have been kept on the bridge, the people suspect that he would have plunged into the river below.

As per information, the missing person was heavily addicted to liquor. The police, who have taken the mobile phone with them, are investigating.

Personnel of Kankanady town station and Ullal station visited the spot and scrutinized the spot.
