Mangaluru: Partial solar eclipse to be visible on Jun 21

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jun 19: On the occasion of the annular solar eclipse visible from different parts of the world, including some parts of North India on Sunday June 21, a partial solar eclipse will be visible here.

This phenomenon will be visible from 10.04 am to 01.21 pm in and around Mangaluru with a maximum obscuration of 51.3%.

As arrangements for viewing the eclipse in the open public cannot be done, Professor Jayantha H (Ph: 8277021241) of Amateur Astronomers’ Association, Mangaluru, suggests that those interested may watch the eclipse by only using the solar eclipse goggles which may be collected in advance from Dr Sangeethalaxmi (Ph: 9448790070).
