Bangalore, Feb 12: The long standing dream of Karnataka Region Catholic Bishop’s Council (KRCBC) was fulfilled with the inauguration of the pastoral centre here on Tuesday February 9.
The Archbishop Bernard Moras inaugurated the centre. Fr Faustine L Lobo, coordinator of KRPPC and PRO of KRCBC welcomed the gathering. Fr Franklin D’Souza, regional youth director of Karnataka and Fr Assisi led the prayer session. Fr Balraj, director of BMSSS, Bangalore compered the programme.
A felicitation programme led by Sr Genevieve was held on the occasion. Dr Gerald I Lobo, Bishop of Shimoga and chairman of Karnataka Regional Organization of Social Service (KROSS) thanked God for his abundance of blessings upon Karnataka Region and praised the efforts of Archbishop Bernard Moras for the zealous leadership and able guidance in the Region. Bp Aloysius Paul D’Souza honoured Archbishop Bernard Moras.
Other leaders felicitated on the occasion were Fr Becket D’ Souza, former director of KROSS, Msgr Siluvai Ignaci, National director of PMS, Fr Varghese Mattamana, the executive director of Caritas India Thomas C K, manager of South India bank, Michael Raphael, chief consultant and architect ,Joe and Arun Fernandes, civil works contractors and Fr Peter Prank, director, KROSS.
Bp Amalraj of Ooty, Bp Thomas Vazhapilly of Mysore, Bp Aloysius Paul D’Souza of Mangalore diocese, Bp Henry D’Souza of Bellary, Bp Antony Swamy of Chikmaglur, Bp Joseph Arumachadath of Bhadravathi, Bp Peter Machado of Belgaum, Fr Becket D'Souza, former director of KROSS, Msgr Jayanathan, the secretary of KRCBC and Fr Varghese Mattamana, the executive director of Caritas India among others were present. Fr Peter Brank proposed the vote of thanks.
