Bengaluru, Jun 18: The central crime branch (CCB) at Bengaluru has given momentum to its investigation relating to the murder of young advocate from Mangaluru, Naushad Kashimji.
The CCB has already secured ten-day custody of underworld fugitive, Ravi Poojary.
Naushad had been gunned down near his flat at Falnir Road Mangaluru on April 9, 2009, by unidentified shooters. In this connection, a few persons said to be the accomplices of Ravi Poojary, have been sentenced.
It is said that Ravi Poojary was incensed by the fact that Naushad Kashimji was representing Rashid Malbari, said to be a henchman of Dawood Ibrahim, in court cases and was arguing on his behalf.
