Kundapur, Jun 15: Corona awareness activities should take place now at every nook and corner of the society as the pandemic is escalating to dangerous levels of infection and deaths.
In a unique effort of a similar kind, a booklet titled '20 points to beat Corona' was released in a simple marriage ceremony that took place on Sunday, June 14 at Olabailu of Senapura village of Byndoor taluk.
The booklet, which was written by Dr Hemant Kumar Sastana was released and distributed during the marriage ceremony of Rajaguru Padukone, son of Gopala and Sharada couple, residents of Olabailu in Senapura with Sahanarani, daughter of Vinoda and late Udaya Kumar.
A pedal sanitizer machine was gifted to the local primary health care centre on the occasion. Dr Chikmari, medical officer of the village primary health care centre, received the gift. One more pedal sanitizer machine was gifted to ESI hospital of Kundapur.
Ramesh Ganiga Kollur, president of Gopalkrishna Multipurpose service cooperative society, Rajiva Padukone, president of Padukone Agricultural service cooperative society, Philip D'Silva, retired manager of Karnataka bank and journalist Subrahmanya Padukone were present.
Use of mask and sanitizer was compulsory for all the participants of the marriage function. Thermal scanning was also done on all the guests before they entered the marriage hall.
