Bengaluru: Amartya's marriage with D K Shivakumar's daughter - Tamboola Shastra held

Bengaluru, Jun 13: The two families relating to the proposed marriage of Amartya Hegde, elder son of the founder of Cafe Coffee Day, the late V G Siddhartha, son-in-law of S M Krishna, and elder daughter of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president, D K Shivakumar, Aishwarya, exchanged betel leaves and held discussions relating to the said marriage on Friday June 12. In the auspicious 'Tamboola Shastra' where the relationship is sealed, betel leaves which are considered to be a sign of auspiciousness, are exchanged.

Members of Shivakumar's family arrived at the residence of S M Krishna in Sadashiva Nagar here for the above function. The engagement relating to this alliance is likely to be held during August. Marriage will be held in the city once lockdown rules are further eased, sources stated.
