Udupi, Feb 8: I would honour the decision of senior BJP leaders with regard to chairmanship of Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), said BJP former state president MP D V Sadanand Gowda.
Addressing the media persons at Shirva, near here on Saturday February 6, D V said that he was assured of KMF chairmanship as soon as he stepped down as BJP state president. However, assurances apart the issue of appointment of chairman of KMF will only be decided during the meeting of the core committee after the party election scheduled to be held in New Delhi on Tuesday February 9.
He expressed that he expected both the leaders of opposition parties, Congress and JD (S) to introspect on their party’s major defeat in the last assembly polls, instead of causing hindrance to state administration. The opposition parties should honour the verdict of voters, rather than causing uproar in the assembly. The voters will definitely exercise their choice in the forthcoming elections of the local administration, added Sadananda Gowda.
"I have already written a letter to industries department, Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) and also presented a memorandum to the state administration, in order to shelve Golden Corridor Project proposed in the neighbourhood of Belman here. State large and medium scale industries minister Murugesh Nirani also advised the department officer Balegar and land acquisition officer Shyam Bhat, to abandon the proposed project. People should stop reacting to the allegation of the opposition parties," urged Sadanand Gowda.
Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon, zilla panchayat member Gerald Fernandes and others were present.
