Ballari, Jun 12: "According to medical experts, the number of coronavirus infected persons in the state of Karnataka is going to rise after August 15. Government has taken all necessary precautionary measures in this connection," said minister for medical education Dr K Sudhakar.
Speaking to the scribes Dr Sudhakar said, "Out of the 3,000 active cases in the state, 97 per cent are infection-free. Experts who have studied the infection trend in other countries and states are of the opinion that the number of infections in Karnataka may rise after August 15."

"As most of the fatalities of COVID-9 in Karnataka are people who are suffering from fever, instructions are given to separate them and examine," he added.
"Till Thursday, June 11, 72 people have died in the state and the number of infected persons has risen to 6,245. Out of this 2,976 people are cured and discharged from the hospital. As many as 3,185 patients are getting treated in the hospital and their condition is stable. Out of this 10 people are being treated in ICU,” he said.
