Mangalore, Feb 7: The two-day national level cultural fest Art Beat, Darbar-E- Kala- 2010 concluded at St Aloysius College in city, on Saturday February 6.
At the valedictory function, Alva’s College team from Moodbidri was announced overall champions with St Agnes College of the city bagging runner-up trophy. The fest had ensemble of cultural competitions wherein participants from all over the state took part enthusiastically.
Chief guest at the valedictory programme, David Pais said that knowledge cannot be bought. Art broadens our horizons and gives us a clear vision that enables us to become leaders of tomorrow.
The teams of student presented innovative cultural items as part of the programme.
The Art Beat-2010 was inaugurated on Friday February 5 by Sathish Prabhu, director of IMPEL, Mangalore at a programme presided by Fr Joseph Rodrigues, rector of the St Aloysius institutions. Dr Rose Veera D’Souza, staff co-ordinator, student co-ordinators Roshan, Allan Baptist, Priyanka Jayaraj and Ligoury Mendonca were also present.
