Bangalore, Feb 7: The National Biblical Catechetical and Liturgical Centre (NBCLC) held an inter-religious prayer service and celebrated the ‘Tree of Life’ (fullness of life) to mark the 43rd anniversary on Saturday February 6.
Addressing the gathering, NBCLC director Fr Cleophas Fernandes acknowledged all the former directors for their hard and dedicated service which has helped the centre successfully complete 43 years.
The NBCLC group gave an introduction to the prayer service, followed by bhajans and a prayer dance. The uniqueness of the programme was the reading from Hindu scripture, Holy Quran and Holy Bible followed by reflection and prayer after every reading.
A tribal dance was performed during the occasion that saw participation of the entire audience, who held diyas. Fr Paul Puthanangady proposed the vote of thanks.

This has helped them become better persons and animators in their own respective places and the world at large in the areas of biblical apostolate, catechetical ministry, liturgical services and inter-religious dialogue. Almost 80,000 people have participated in NBCLC programmes so far.
