Bantwal, Jun 9: "I will try to provide PUC and degree college for Pudu village in the next 10 years so that every student of Pudu village excel and have a promising career," said Mangaluru MLA U T Khader.
He was speaking after breaking the ground for four classes of Sujir Model Higher Primary School of Pudu village on Tuesday.
"The demand for constructing a new building for the school after demolishing feeble structure was long-pending. Necessary funds have been released for the purpose. Funds are also released for betterment of the village road and providing basic facilities," he said.
SDMC president Hussain presided the occasion. Zilla Panchayat member Ravindra Kambali, former member Ummar Faruk, Pudu gram panchayat president Ramlan Maripalla, vice-president Lidia Pinto, education department’s Susheela, former gram panchayat president Prakashchandra Rai, former taluk panchayat member Asif Iqbal and gram panchayat members were present.
Khader was also felicitated on the occasion. Headmistress Vishalakshi welcomed the gathering and educator Sumana compered the programme.
