Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (HB/EP)

Udupi, Jun 8: A couple hailing from Mundkur, Karkala taluk who returned home after being in quarantine have tested positive for coronavirus.

Following this, the Mundkur primary school vicinity has been sealed down.

The couple had arrived with six of their relatives and were ordered mandatory quarantine in Kaup for nine days before getting permission to go home. Though they were tested positive, officials could not contact them as they had provided the address of their relatives in Nandikoor.

As the couple was sick, they were admitted to Manipal hospital on Sunday after contacting medical officers.

The vicinity of their residence near Mundkur government primary school is sealed and has been declared as a containment zone.

Karkala revenue officer Guruprasad, Mundur PDO Raviraj and Sacharipete primary health centre officers have visited the premises.

Very confusing.why did they not check pass and note address instead of asking them? They must have known they are positive or sick and gave a wrong address. How come allow them to go when positive?Dont they test before quarantine starts?
