Udupi: South Canara Photographer’s Association celebrates World Environment Day

Udupi, Jun 5: “We will have to at least plant a sapling in each house. We should get together to devise a plan to keep our surrounding clean for the future generation,” opined member of the municipal council, Vijaya K Kodavoor. He addressed a meeting after getting Kerekatte Ganapathi Gudi, Kodavoor premises cleaned by South Kanara photographer’s association Udupi, conducting Vanamahotsava and planting nearly 75 saplings. A sapling each was handed over to the members present at the occasion.

Shankernarayana temple managing committee president, Prakash G, district president Karandadi Sridhar Shettigar, honorary president, Shiva K Ameen, vice president, Navin Ballal and district secretary, Sundar Poojary Kolalagiri were present.

Zonal president, Prakash S Kodankoor welcomed the gathering. District media representative, Janardhan Kodavoor compered the programme. Secretary Sukesh K Ameen rendered the vote of thanks.
