Mangalore: Anupama Women’s Magazine Celebrates Decennial Year

Mangalore, Jan 31: Sandhya Pai, editor of Kannada Weekly magazine Taranga called on society not to distinguish women of different communities, but treat them equally.

She was speaking as a chief guest at the decennial celebration of Anupama, women's magazine held at the Town Hall here on Saturday January 30. Women barring religious affiliation think and act the same as part of the society. All women basically give importance to the welfare of their families and society for holistic development, she added. 

Calling on for unity, Sandhya said that those in the media field have a great responsibility. They should discharge their duty with fairness for good journalism can shape a good society, she said.

She also released the decennial special volume brought out on the occasion. 

A P Malathi, president of the Karavali Readers and Writers’ Association, Mary Prem D'Souza principal of St. Agnes College, Mangalore and Shanaz M, editor of Anupama magazine were present.
