Mangaluru, Jun 4: Perhaps for the first time in the city, someone has acquired a bicycle costing Rs 12 lac. Even though the citizens here are known to acquire fancy motorbikes and cars as soon as they are introduced in the market, for a bicycle, this might be a record.
Canada-based Cervelo company, which is known for producing high-performance racing bicycles, has produced this PX series Dura Ace Di2 2020 bicycle. For the first time in India, this bicycle is being introduced in the city. A triathlon enthusiast from Mysuru has acquired the bicycle through the Taj Cycle Company at Pumpwell here. The bicycle is on display at the stall. It is learnt that it will be handed over to the buyer on June 4.
This bicycle can be used for high-speed cycling, having been made with lightweight monocoque carbon with aero base bar and other features
