Mangaluru, Jun 4: In connection with the murder of a youth named Keertan on the night of May 31 at Devaragudde near Yekkar, Kateel, the Bajpe police have arrested another accused. He has been identified as Meghraj alias Meghu (19), resident of Kalavaru. He was taken into custody on Wednesday, June 3 from Kalavaru Gudde.

In connection with the said murder in which two were seriously injured, the police had arrested five accused on June 2. Two motorbikes, a dagger, two knives, four wooden cudgels, and five cellphones have been confiscated from the accused. The accused were presented in the court. After they were subjected to COVID-19 test, they were remanded to police custody.

The arrests were made by the anti-rowdy squad led by Panambur assistant commissioner of police Belliappa, and Bajpe police inspector K R Naik. Some more arrests in the case are expected shortly.
