Udupi, Jun 3: “Action will be taken if people arriving from outside the district provide false address and telephone number before going for quarantine,” warned deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha.

“People arriving from other states should mandatorily register on Seva Sindhu app. Those who are arriving by road should present themselves at DRC - District Receive Center mentioned in BRC – Border Receive Center and get themselves quarantined after mentioning their address and telephone number. People arriving from Maharashtra should be placed under seven days institutional quarantine and seven days home quarantine. Those who are arriving from other states should be placed under 14 days home quarantine. Those who are arriving by train should get themselves registered by providing their address and telephone number at the DRC in the railway station where they alight. An FIR will be registered and criminal cases will be filed against those who escape on the way without going to the registration centre. They should go to the quarantine centre at their own cost,” said DC G Jagadeesha.

“All those who are registered at the DRC should be stamped and sent to respective villages in the taluk. Separate quarantine centres should be opened to quarantine people arriving in villages. The taluk executives of all the taluks should arrange food in the quarantine centres of the gram panchayats and send reports daily. People arriving from other states should mandatorily download Aarogya Setu, Quarantine watch, and Apta Mitra applications,” said the DC.
