Kasargod: Huge cache of tobacco products in goods lorry seized, 2 suspects arrested

Kasargod, Jun 3: Kasargod town police have confiscated a large number of tobacco products which were being transported in a goods lorry. The police have arrested two people in this connection.

The arrested suspects are Vidyanagara residents Jainuddin (55) and Abdul Majeed (30). Police who received definite clues intercepted the lorry which was approaching Karandakkad national highway from Mangaluru.

On investigation, the police found tobacco products stuffed in 12 gunny bags behind the driver’s seat. The officials maintained that the products were being transported to Kananghad from Mangaluru.
