Udupi, Jun 3: “Anxieties relating to coronavirus are increasing in Udupi. Recent developments show that positive cases are rising due to those who have arrived from Maharashtra. Several problems are faced in government quarantine and hotel quarantine. Some people had made unnecessary allegations. As per our social responsibility, we should leave it to individual choices,” said Kundapur MLA Halady Srinivas Shetty.

“Home quarantine should be permitted if people wish. However, only after obtaining consent from their respective house people and make sure that their neighbours are not troubled. Government quarantine centre can be used if separate quarantine is not possible in their residence. Otherwise, they can safely quarantine in their home. I feel that both the options should be available to those who are getting quarantined,” urged the MLA.
