Udupi: District armed reserve squad staff tested positive, residential area sealed

Udupi, Jun 3: As a staff of the district armed squad is tested positive, Shirva Balladi area where he resides is sealed.

The positive report of the staff was received on June 1. However, the samples are sent again for another test. Officials visited the spot on Wednesday and sealed down his residence and a house in his neighbourhood as a precaution.

Balladi is a containment zone and the entire Shirva village is declared buffer zone. Villagers are directed to maintain social distance.



Kaup revenue inspector, Ravi Shanker, Shirva community primary hospital medical officer, Dr Santhosh Kumar Bailur, Dr Subrahmanya Rao, Shirva village PDO, Anant Padmanabha, village accountant, Vijay, PSI, Srishaila Muragoda and Asha workers visited the spot and conducted a spot inspection.
