Bengaluru, Jun 1: The government has decided against opening of schools and colleges in the state till July this year. In the guidelines issued on Sunday, it has been clarified that schools, colleges, tutorials, training centres for competitive exams etc cannot be opened till Jun end.
Further decision will be taken in July. However, PU and SSLC examinations will be held on the dates already decided. The state had proposed to open temples, malls and hotels etc from June 1 but the centre has allowed them to be opened on June 8. The state will follow central directives.
However, demands of fitness freaks to open gyms and cinema buffs to open theatres have not been met. International flights, metro trains, cinema halls, gyms, swimming pools, amusement parks, social political and cultural programmes, religious progammes etc have not been permitted till June 30. While the government has said that devotees visiting temples and hotels will have some restrictions, it will come out with initiatives to protect health in malls soon.
