Mangaluru: PU answer sheet evaluation work begins - Lecturers not too happy

Mangaluru, Jun 1: Pre-university answer sheets evaluation work has been going on in the five centres set up in the city for the purpose with effect from May 29. More than 150 lecturers have undertaken the work.

The work is in progress at St Aloysius, Sharada, Ramakrishna, St Agnes, and Kushe PU College. Secretary of Dakshina Kannada PU College Principal's Association, Vincent D'Costa, said that the work is proposed to be completed in about two weeks.

The lecturers had decided to boycott the evaluation work last week, accusing the concerned of failing to make proper preparations for the evaluation work, and also alleging lack of proper precautionary measures in the face of coronavirus challenge. After the government intervened in the matter and met a few of the demands, the lecturers began the work.

A few lecturers complained that social distance rule is not being followed at the evaluation centres strictly and that the number of lecturers for the work is insufficient.
