Bantwal: Ayush department donates Chyawanprash to Asha workers

Bantwal, May 30: Government’s Ayush department under the leadership of Ayush doctor Dr Manikarnika, donated Chyawanprash, termed as excellent in Ayurveda to Asha workers in the taluk. The taluk MLA, Rajesh Naik Ulipadiguthu handed them over to the workers in his office.

Chyawanprash is referred to in Ayurveda as an excellent medicine that boosts the immune system in the human body.

It will be distributed to 351 Asha workers in the taluk from Saturday. Chyawanprash is prepared from gooseberries, Amrutha Balli (Tinospora Cordifolia), ashwagandha, yashtimadhu, honey, ghee etc. “It is a medicine that strengthens the immunity so that no sickness comes to the person,” said Dr Manikarnika.
