Bengaluru: N R Santhosh becomes CM's political secretary

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, May 29: N R Santhosh, a relative of chief minister (CM), B S Yediyurappa and who had played a crucial role for the success of Operation Lotus that brought BJP back to power in the state, has been chosen to be the political secretary of the CM.

A note signed by the CM in that connection has been sent to the chief secretary. The chief secretary has been instructed to appoint Santhosh as the CM's political secretary with state cabinet minister-level facilities forthwith. Official communication about his appointment is yet to be issued.

N R Santhosh is from Nonavinakere in Tiptur taluk, Tumakuru district. He had worked deftly for the access of a plan to topple the JD(S) - Congress coalition government in the state and bring back the BJP government. After the BJP government was formed, Santhosh was always seen in the company of Yediyurappa but since the last some months, he was not seen in public programmes. His sudden return as the CM's political secretary after lying low has provided fodder for discussions within the BJP circles.
