Panaji, Jan 27: Radima Prakash Jogley of Loutolim bagged the first prize in the Applied Art and graphic design Category for her magazine advertisement design 'Framework' at the 35th Goa State Art exhibition in Kala Academy at Panaji. Vasudev Uday Shetye of Korgaon bagged the first prize for his painting 'A bond of Care' in painting and graphic print category and Sadashiv Parab of Moira bagged the first prize for his work 'Goddess of earth' in the sculpture category respectively.
The five day exhibition was inaugurated by the speaker of the Goa Assembly and chairman of Kala Academy Pratap Singh Rane in the presence of Dr Govind Kale and all the winners at the Kala Academy's Art Gallery.
The exhibition/competition was held in three different categories namely applied art and graphic design, painting and graphic print and sculpture. Altogether 32 works in applied art and graphic design, 58 works in painting and graphic print and 22 works in sclupture categories were displayed.
The other winners are Sandesh Goundalkar, Sharmila Coutinho, Fabian Gonsalves, Assis Gonsalves and Rajtilak Naik in the Applied and Graphic design category. In the painting and graphic print category N Kanhaiyya, Sachin Naik, Veenita Chendvenkar, Shilpa Nasnokar, Santosh Morajkar, Deepak Gaunkar and Praveen Naik emerged as the winners and Gopal Kudaskar, Zeneili Willard, Derrick Willard and Paulino F N Fernandes excelled in the sculpture category.
