Bengaluru: Undergoing corona test before hospital discharge made compulsory

Bengaluru, May 27: The state government, on Tuesday May 26, released a revised list of discharge guidelines for corona infected persons.

A few of the points contained therein are:

1. Till three days immediately before the discharge, no fever or infection symptoms should be visible
2. The body temperature and pulse of the patient should be checked everyday
3. If no symptoms are visible, the patient can be discharged in ten days
4. All the corona-affected people should get treated in hospitals earmarked for corona treatment
5. Treatment can be in any government or private corona health care centres
6. Since four days prior to discharge, the patient should not be on artificial oxygen support
7. If no corona symptoms are visible, after three days, RT and PCR tests should be conducted. If the reports are negative, the person can be discharged.
8. When in hospital, the persons should undergo RT PCR tests even if they do not display any coronavirus symptoms, if the test result is corona positive. Even when the result is negative in the first report, test should be conducted again after a week.
9. Infected persons who get discharged from hospital have to undergo 14 days home quarantine.
