Bengaluru, May 27: The union government has said that the ordinance brought by it and the state on the issue of protecting corona warriors involved with anti-coronavirus operations from attacks are not similar.
It was responding to a petition filed by advocate G R Mohan, objecting to the fact that the ordinance brought about by the state is weak in comparison. It came before the division bench of the high court with Chief Justice A S Oka and Justice B V Nagaratna.
Advocate appearing for the central government, M N Kumar, said in a written statement, that in case ordinances have been brought on the same issue by both the state and central governments, the ordinance of the central government gets precedence.
