Bantwal, May 27: K C Ashok Shetty district secretary of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee's social media section, has filed a complaint against Udupi - Chikkamagaluru MP, Shobha Karandlaje. He registered the complaint in Bantwal police station.

In the complaint, he has mentioned about a tweet posted in the MP's Twitter account in which Shobha purportedly has accused Jihadis of the death of a person named Nishanth from near Kalladka who had jumped into River Netravati and ended his life. The MP had later denied having created the post and blamed people who edited and made a tweet that looked like having been created by her.

Shetty has urged the police to take legal action against the concerned in order to make sure that communal harmony in coastal Karnataka does not get vitiated.
