Kasargod: Resident of Katukukke Mugeru drowns in rivulet

Kasargod, May 26: Suresh (35), son of Narayan Naik and Sawaraswathi, a couple from Katukukke Mugeru in the district lost his life due to drowning. His body was found in Adkasthala rivulet near Katukukke Mugeru temple.

Suresh had left home on Sunday afternoon to bathe in the rivulet. He did not return for a very long time. Thereafter, a search operation was launched. Kasargod fire brigade personnel assisted by the policemen from Badiadka station searched for Suresh. In the evening, the body was found in the rivulet.

It is suspected that he would have lost his balance and drowned in the rivulet. Suresh, who was a coolie, was unmarried. He is survived by parents, a brother, and a sister.
