Mangalore, Jan 13: Mabel Rebello, member of the parliament, Jharkand visited St Aloysius College campus in the city and AIMIT, the new campus for management and information technology of St Aloysius College at Beeri, Kotekar.
She met Fr Francis Serrao, the provincial of Karnataka Jesuit Province and Fr Joseph Rodrigues, the rector among others.
Mabel, who saw the various sections of the campus, appreciated the new set up for management and IT programmes of St Aloysius College. She was given a tour of the campus by Fr Denzil Lobo, director, AIMIT. Mabel was accompanied by Capt J P Menezes, former President of Kanara Chamber of Commerce.
On the occasion, Fr Denzil made a presentation on the vision for the new campus wherein he mentioned that we would like to see the campus become a deemed university in the immediate future. He also mentioned to her that there are plans to introduce MBA (banking) and MBA( international business) and executive MBA programme. Mabel said that she would do whatever in her capacity to make the campus one of the best campuses for management and IT studies.
