Mangalore, January 12: The Besant college student union has called for an all college bandh on Friday January 15 following the suspicious death of Soumya in Ghana, West Africa.
Soumya, a final year BA student of Besant had left for Ghana to be with her husband Prem Kishan who claims that she shot herself and committed suicide. Soumya’s parents suspect that she was murdered by Prem Kishan alleging that he used to harass her for dowry.
The students have demanded proper investigation into the case and hold Soumya’s husband responsible for her murder. They alleged that Prem Kishan had an illegitimate affair with the female politician in Ghana and had planned to burn her body in Bangalore.
As all the evidences are against Prem Kishan the student union has requested the DK deputy commissioner and DK police officials to file a complaint of murder against Prem Kishan and provide justice to Soumya’s Family. They have also demanded monitory help to the family.
Student representatives have warned that they will hold intense protest in front of the deputy commissioner’s office on January 15 if their demands are not met.
