Rome, Jan 12: "Konkni Kutam" in Rome gathered together for Christmas celebrations here at the Jesuit Generalate here on Sunday January 10.
The day began with the Konkani mass presided over by Fr Maxim Pinto, a priest from the Delhi archdiocese. Fr Gregory Pinto preached a meaningful homily and emphasized that "God the Father went out of His way to send His only beloved Son Jesus to show us. His nature of love and forgiveness. Jesus now invited each of us to live in love, truth, peace and justice", he added.
Fr Praveen Lasrado and Fr Felix Lobo led the congregation with choir. The traditional Christmas hymns and carols brought back the sweet memories of the native places back in India.
The mass was followed by a friendly and cordial gathering at the Jesuit Curia. Fr Eugene Lobo welcomed the guests especially the new members of the Konkni Kutam. Fr Stan OCD raised the toast and wished success and good health to everyone.
