Bengaluru, May 9: Social media is agog with communally explicit material including hate messages and disturbing tweets. The central government has taken up the issue of cleaning up this mess. It is learnt that the central government has asked Twitter to block 121 posts which it finds to be objectionable. The tweet made by BJP MP Tejasvi Surya, is reportedly one among them.
The tweet of Tajasvi Surya that is proposed to be blocked was made in 2015. The tweet, while agreeing that terrorism in itself has no religion, insisted that terrorists have religion. Tejasvi had added that in most cases, the terrorists turn out to be Muslims. This statement had aroused lot of criticism and opposition. Many had demanded for deleting of this tweet. But Tejasvi preferred to retain the tweet. Therefore, it is said, the union department of electronics and information has approached Twitter with a request to block this tweet.
In another controversial tweet of 2015, the current Bengaluru (south) MP had said that 95 percent of Arab women since hundreds of years had forgotten to have orgasm during the course of married life. He also had added that every mother there delivered children out of mechanical sexual activities and not out of love. This tweet too had faced brickbats and flak recently, after which it was deleted.
